Len Sutton’s wonderful, personalised talk on the History of the RAF in Lincolnshire was the perfect opener for Adult Education’s FREE Festival of Talks on Tuesday. On the hottest day of the year, the audience tried to spread out in order to keep cool, but even with all the windows and doors open, we still felt the heat. Luckily Volunteer Karen was totally at home in charge of drinks and cake and did a marvellous job of refreshing the audience. Many, many thanks to Len for painting us a picture of our own streets, farms and people as they have evolved with and around the RAF throughout a hundred years. You will be able to see Len again when he returns to close the festival with his most recent research around The Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
